Workshops, competitions, jamming and area bands on stage all part of bluegrass weekend

The Midwinter Bluegrass Music Weekend will take place Feb. 2, 3 and 4, 2007 in Bemidji at the Northern Inn Hotel.
There will be jamming all weekend.
On Friday evening, groups can sign up on site for the Inn's Lounge Open Stage. At 8 p.m., songwriter and performer contestants can sign up on site or can call (218) 835-7810.
Workshops and Open Stage will start on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. "County 20 and Morgans Run" will perform at 7 p.m. on Saturday evening as well featured bands as well as the winners of the songwriter/performer and Battle of the Draw band contests.
Sunday evening will feature performances by headline bands the Open Stage bands starting at 9:30 p.m.
Open Stage bands include the following: Blueband, County 20, Casino Creek, Sloughgrass, Nanny's Band & Company, Pembina Trail, Scenic Highway, The Swordsmen, Freedom's Call, Seldom Hard and others.
